Let’s Work Together
Somatic Therapy + Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP) Consultation
Individual or Group Options
I love supporting therapists find their feet on the ground, learn to trust their own wisdom, and feel comfortable taking new risks with innovative work.
Whether you’re brand new to somatic work and need some mentorship or are a seasoned practitioner who is committed to ongoing growth, I’d be honored to be a partner and a guide.
I can help you integrate somatic work in your practice, nurture your own capacity to be present and embodied, trust your instincts as a clinician, cultivate your creativity, decrease burnout and increase satisfaction in your work, learn to use experiential practices effectively through in-person and telehealth sessions.
Whether we are diving into client case consultation, applying trauma and attachment theory, understanding neurobiology, developing skills, or exploring your own professional growth edges, we will work collaboratively using somatic and creative approaches.
Annabelle has helped me to deepen my trust in myself as a clinician. She reminds me that in addition to training, instinct is a powerful tool for a therapist. Annabelle often encourages me to keep my “artist self” present by using my creativity to explore supervisory issues. She empowers me to find answers to my questions by bringing me back to the two primary sources that somatic therapists and dance/movement therapists use in practice: the mind and the body.
Whenever I see Annabelle’s name on a list of presenters at a conference I immediately sign up. Annabelle presents with knowledge, clarity, creativity, sensitivity, and honesty; that is a true gift. Her reverence for her clients, her profession and mental health is strongly evident. Her presentations are practical as well as nurturing. Annabelle’s presentations have strengthened my clinical practice and I highly recommend her professional trainings.
Therapy for Therapists
When therapists do their own therapy, it supports personal healing and growth, and can be a valuable resource in traveling your own life path. It also makes you a better therapist by increasing awareness of your own core beliefs, relational patterns, and blind spots; it lets you see how they might play out in your work.
As a therapist, you already understand how therapy works and you know a great deal about what does and doesn’t work for you. You want support form someone who values your self-awareness, your wisdom, and your willingness to engage in doing your own personal work.
It can be important for therapists to do their own therapy with someone who is a seasoned professional and who can work in a deeply collaborative way.
Therapy for therapists is In-person or telehealth in MA, telehealth in NY, VT, ME, & FL. Visit my practice website Movement Matters Integrative Psychotherapy.
